Costa Rica

The true “pura vida” is known, discovered and experienced in Costa Rica. The country, located between Nicaragua and Panama and the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, is home to great diversity in every way. Its beaches, mountains, volcanoes, nature and animal life make it an essential destination to connect with the small pleasures of life.

Objectively it is one of the most biodiverse countries on the planet, because around 5% of the world’s species live there. The sloth bear is one of the most characteristic animals of the country. So is the macaw, a bird with striking and vivid plumage: red on the body and yellow and bluish on the tips of the feathers.

Culturally, the cart is considered the national symbol of Costa Rican work. It is also one of the most popular and colorful artistic expressions. The indigenous legacy, which is still a mystery today, can be seen through different artistically crafted stone spheres. They are all a perfect circumference: some are 8 inches; others, two meters.

Its gastronomy incorporates many indigenous ingredients, including delicious and colorful tropical fruits such as pineapple or papaya, and other vegetables, such as yucca or chayote. Tasty and multifunctional local products are used. The fruits can also be enjoyed as ice cream or accompanied by high-end rums or brandy.
