La hospitalidad y la gastronomía son dos elementos claves de Colombia. Con 49.6 millones de habitantes, este país ecuatorial bañado por aguas del mar Caribe y el Pacífico Sur, cuenta con una gran diversidad entre sus regiones. ¿El motivo? El clima, la geografía y las costumbres culinarias, muy influenciadas a lo largo de su historia, sobre todo a partir de los siglos XIX y XX.

Se puede hacer un viaje gastronómico por el país en función de los alimentos que se consuman: desde el ajiaco, típico de la zona de Bogotá, hasta el pargo frito del Caribe.

El café colombiano es otro de los productos estrella, que cuenta con Denominación de Origen y su cultivo tiene más de 300 años de historia. El paisaje cultural cafetero, formado por cuatro departamentos, fue declarado Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad por la UNESCO. Sin olvidar el aguardiente, bebida alcohólica típica del país.

Its gastronomy has been influenced by French, English and Spanish, with whom they share dishes with ingredients in common. You can take a gastronomic trip around the country de-pending on the foods that are consumed: from the Bogota ajiaco, typical of the area of the capital Bogotá, to the fried snapper, from the Colombian Caribbean.

Colombian coffee is another of the flagship products. It even has a Denomination of Origin and its cultivation and production has more than 300 years of history. The Coffee Cultural Landscape, made up of four departments, was declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity by Unesco. The brandy is also considered a typical drink of the coffee country.
